Three Months, Thirty-Three Pounds, Three boys & a Princess

Whoa...it takes A LOT to get out the Door.
...lots of grace
...lots of organization
...lots of crazy days
......LOTS OF COFFEE!!!!
AND we LOVE it (for the most part)

There are:
Checklists galore
Piles EVERYWHERE
Meals on the run (..feeling a little guilty about that...thank the Lord for Laurie Heisinger!!!)
Sometimes yelling parents (oh, there is soooo much room for personal growth...and these times magnify those areas crying out for improvement...LOL)
Suitcases, books, documents, and lists (again...list after list after list)
Many, MANY,  MANY EMPTY COFFEE CUPS!!!

We must:
Finish School
Contact our contacts...in the countries we'll visit
Make sure we have our shots
Pack the bags
Arrange for the animals and property to be cared for while we're away (thanks Mike, and Ernie)
Clean the house.

We could NEVER get out the door on our own.
We are OVERWHELMED by the kindness and love shown to us by our friends and family by:

Helping us get the house in order.
Babysitting.
Cleaning our house after we leave.
Taking down our Christmas ornaments.
Transferring our music onto iTunes & mp3 players and loading software onto our laptops
Fixing our laptops
BRINGING ME COFFEE!!!!
Driving to the Chinese Embassy so we could get our Visas
THERE IS SOOOOO MUCH MORE.  WE ARE SO VERY GRATEFUL!!

Amazingly I was able to fit our entire wardrobe (6 people's clothes for 3 months...) into ONE suitcase.  Each kids clothing fit into a 2 1/2 gallon ziplock bag!  (AMAZING, again, I might add!)....Each kid ended up with a bag of clothes, a folder of school work, and a bag of books.

Fitting our lives into six 33 pound suitcases...really, it's an interesting concept. Wasn't sure if we could do it!  Amazed that we could!
