The past few days have been spent building relationship with people that we really are falling in love with. It is amazing how much fun we have had hanging out with Wernich and Beulah, Ethan, and Alicia; laughing, sight seeing, and just enjoying hanging out together. We spent Sunday afternoon getting to know members of Oasis Revival Center at a Braai (prounounced "Brigh", meaning barbeque). We came to refresh, but quite frankly, we are being refreshed by wonderful friends.

Now, down to business: Quite frankly, I know you all love me, but where are MY INTERCESSORS???? Seriously, there is NOT ONE STARBUCKS here in South Africa....and to top it off, ALL YOU "LOST" FANS: How would you feel if you watched the entire season and missed the season finale???!!!?? I was so excited about having high speed internet. I had it all secretly planned out (after all my praying and fasting and ministering was over, of course). Friday, after the kids and Seth were in bed, I snuck out to our computer and typed in www.abc.com and patiently waited for the "LOST" season finale to load. All was on schedule; it was quiet in the house; I had my Starbuck's frappaccino in hand (oops! that part was a dream I was having)...Everything loaded perfectly and then, "Bam!", an ugly little notice flashed across the screen: "Only viewers in the U.S. can watch full episodes!" AAAAAAHHHHHHH! I got shut down! At first, I thought God was punishing me (Ha,Ha...just kidding for anyone who might have taken me serious), then I realized that indeed He "works all things together for good"...I have several months left to ponder what those good things might be. I WILL find them and in the mean time, I am counting down the days until I can join the rest of you "LOST" fans who already know what happens to the "Oceanic 6", John Lock, Benjamin Linus, Jack, Kate, Sun, Aaron, Hurley, Sayid and other Dharma mysteries are uncovered.

Finally, today, Wernich, gave each of our boys a gift. He told Hannah he was going to bring her something special a little later. After he left she came to Seth and me and told us that she knew what Wernich needed to get her. (Thankfully she was quietly telling us and not assertively informing him! LOL) She thought Wernich should get her a cell phone, one that takes pictures, so she could call her good friend Cybelle MacLean. We all had ANOTHER good laugh.
Thanks for praying for us as we continue on this wonderful journey. Here are a few more prayer points:
- Continued Safety and Health
- Protection for the kids: spiritually, emotionally, physically, etc.
- We are going to be doing a business conference in Tanzania. We are currently preparing for this . This is out of our comfort zone and area of expertise, but we believe the Lord has opened doors for us to speak into the lives of these Tanzanian leaders and we are embracing this opportunity. Please pray for wisdom, guidance, and direction as we prepare.
- That we would be rested and refreshed and would minister from a place of "Overflow"
- That the Lord would take us to deeper places with Him and that would trust Him and grow and fall more deeply in love with Him as we continue on.
- One of our main objectives is to refresh leaders; this Thursday evening (Thursday 9:00 ish California time) we will have the opportunity to serve the leaders of Wernich's church. Please pray that this time would be a sweet time in His presence; a time of deep ministry to these leaders; that they would be refreshed and encouraged and strengthened by the Lord
- Please continue to pray for Karen; She ministers where ever we are through her hugs, love, and serving. Again, we are blessed to have her with us.
- We all are going in for shots soon (yellow fever, typhoid) and to get the kids malaria medicine. We thought it would be fun adventure to get shots and medicine while traveling abroad, so here we go….I just hope they don’t use reused needles…!!

I know who's in the coffin :)
Seriously, the suspense is killing me!! lol
Hi Sponsler family. This is the Deaver's writing to say hi. Laurie sent us this link and the girls were real excited to see the pics of the kids that they played with at Pinecrest. Becca(7)says, "We are praying for you that you don't get sick and have to come home too early. We hope you have a fun time in Africa and that you have a safe trip." Kaity (5) and Nikki (4) say they hope you have a fun and safe trip. And Caleb(2)says hi too.
I'm excited to see you walking forth in such rich blessing as you serve the Lord. God bless you!
The Deaver family
Hi Mary Beth and sweet Sponski's, we are mourning your LOST!!! I know that is hard. I asked Cardiff if there was any way we could send you the Lost show on a compressed file. If you know of a way let me know. Otherwise we are praying for open doors, crooked place made straight (Isaiah 45:2,3). He has gone before you!!!Love to you, The Booths
