Elementary School Outreach

Joshua speaking in front of a class of Sixth and Seventh Graders

Each Wednesday Wernich and few other pastors have an open door to minister in local elementary schools. In one of the schools they have been given an entire class period each week with sixth and seventh grade students. They are going through "The Purpose Driven Life". God has really favored these pastors. South Africa is a very stable, westernized nation. It is very similar to the U.S. in many aspects. The public schools are government run and although they allow things like "Bible Clubs", they do not allow "religion" to be taught. Seth and Joshua were able to share twice so far in one of these classes. Joshua got to share for about 20 minutes last week. At the end of class Josh noticed a girl that a bandage around her knee from a field hocky accident. Josh asked if he could pray for her and she said, "Yes!!" It is really neat to see our kids stepping out on their own as opportunities arise.

In addition to our weekly outreach to the elementary schools, Seth has been able to speak to the local Christian businessmen on Tuesdays. He was invited back and will speak again tomorrow. The Entire Class with Seth and Josh
